NEET stands for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, known previously as the All India Pre-Medical Test. It is a test for undergraduate students seeking admission to undergraduate medical, dental, and AYUSH programs in both government and private institutions in India. NEET UG 2022 is also meant for those who want to receive primary medical qualifications outside India. Thus for all MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS aspirants, NEET is mandatory.
NEET UG is conducted by National Testing Agency (commonly known as NTA). The seat allocation is done officially through the procedure determined by the government bodies meant for this purpose, such as the Directorate General of Health Services, which functions under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counselling Authorities.
Let’s go through all the aspects related to the NEET UG 2022 results.
The results for NEET 2022 exam conducted on 17th July 2022 were released by the NTA (National Testing Agency) on 7th September 2022. Around 1 week before, the NTA released the provisional answer keys on 31st August 2022, giving the chance to candidates to check the solutions and challenge wrong answers, if any. After that, the NTA released the final answer key for NEET on 8th September 2022 at its official website - neet.nta.nic.in.
The candidates who have appeared for NEET UG can get updates on further notifications and developments, all in one place - ALLEN - Leading NEET UG coaching institute.

Here is the list of top 10 scorers (listed in order of Rank 1 to 10) of the NEET UG 2022, the information provided is in the sequence of Candidate’s Name, Category, Marks Obtained, and Percentile Score.
The aspirants can know their NEET UG Result 2022 by checking the website as per the steps described here:
There are mainly two merit lists for NEET 2022 that are released by the NTA. One is meant for All India rankers, and the other one is for Quota candidates.
NTA will release two NEET 2022 merits lists (probably at the end of June), one for All India Rankers and the other one for Quota candidates.
There are different types of merit lists, such as the All India NEET 2022 rank list, the All India 50% quota rank merit list, the All India 50% category rank list, and the State/Union Territories NEET merit list.
To crack the NEET UG exam, at least 50 percentile is required. There are two methods to calculate the NEET percentile.
Compare the raw score to the top NEET raw score. The formula for NEET exam percentile calculation based on marks is:
Score Percentile = [Your NEET Score/Topper’s NEET Score]*100
Use your estimated NEET rank and the total number of qualifying NEET candidates. The formula for NEET exam percentile calculation by rank is-
Rank Percentile = [(Number of Qualifying Candidates-Candidate’s Personal NEET rank)/Total Number of Appeared Candidates
The NEET 2022 tie-breaking protocol has seen some amendments this year. If we compare it to last year, it will include scores and the age factor. Last year, the NEET tie-breaking protocol included scores in Biology and Chemistry, but this year it will consider the scores obtained in all three subjects, namely Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
If two or more candidates secure equal marks/percentile scores in NEET 2022, then the final merit shall depend on the following:
If there is still a tie, which is highly unlikely, then both candidates are given the same NEET UG rank.
There are two counsellings, namely All India Quota Counselling and State Quota Counselling.
After the NEET 2022 results are announced, the Medical Counselling Committee and different state counselling authorities will publish category-wise NEET cut-offs for the candidates to get admission. This will include the minimum score that a candidate needs in the examination and the last rank required for MBBS and BDS admissions.
The NEET 2022 merit list gets published after the results are announced. Based on the scores and ranks obtained by the aspirants, they are shortlisted. Those who qualify as per the NEET 2022 cut-off, will become eligible for the counselling round.

Online counselling is done for those who appear on the merit list issued by the Medical Counselling Committee. Allotment of seats is based on the merit list and centralised NEET counselling.
Candidates can choose their desired college during the counselling session as per the present Indian reservation Policy.
Out of the total medical seats, 85% are available to those who are residing in the state. This is applicable to each of the states of India. State quota seats are applied by the candidates from their corresponding states. But the allocation shall be done based on the counselling at the state level.
