The JEE (Advanced) exam comprises Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have 54 questions each. The papers have multiple-choice questions, integer value questions, and numerical questions. Each paper is for 183 marks. Thus, the JEE 2022 Advanced exam is for a total of 366 marks. The exams are divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

As seen in the above tables, negative marking is different for different sections. For every correct answer, the candidates will be awarded +4/ +3 marks. For every wrong answer -1/ -2 marks will be deducted. If a candidate has not attempted the question, then there will be no marking. Candidates can add up the marks for correct answers and come up with a score.

The JEE Advanced cutoff 2022 list will be updated as soon as the results are declared. Looking at the previous year’s results, this year, the JEE Advanced exam will have a cutoff of around 90% to 92% for the general category. Candidates have to put in the effort and achieve more than the cutoff to get admission to top universities/colleges.
As far as the reserved categories are concerned, the cutoff can be between 68% to 71%. The official cutoff notification will only be available after the exam has been conducted. This is just a fair idea of how the cutoffs will be this year.
