JEE Advanced 2023 Result; How is it prepared?

1. Marks obtained by the candidates in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics in Paper 1 and Paper 2 are added individually. It signifies that the marks secured by the candidates in Physics in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are added to determine the total marks of the subject. The same procedure is carried forward in Mathematics and Chemistry.
2. The authorities will then calculate the average/ aggregate marks of the candidates on the basis of marks secured by candidates in each and every subject for both papers.
3. On the basis of the scores, the candidates will be provided with ranks. Attempting both papers of JEE Advanced is mandatory to be assessed.

How Will the JEE Advanced 2023 Score be Calculated?

The JEE (Advanced) exam comprises Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have 54 questions each. The papers have multiple-choice questions, integer value questions, and numerical questions. Each paper is for 183 marks. Thus, the JEE 2023 Advanced exam is for a total of 366 marks. The exams are divided into three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• In case of a tie, the candidates achieving higher positive marks in the JEE Advanced 2023 will be awarded a superior rank.

• If the tie hasn’t been resolved yet, the committee will provide the candidates with the same JEE Advanced rank.

JEE Advanced 2023 Cutoff

The JEE Advanced cutoff 2023 cutoff has been released. The average cut-off for OBC and EWS was 21.50 percent (77 marks) and subject-wise was 6.15 percent (7 marks). The average cut-off for SC-ST and physically challenged students was 11.95 percent (43 marks) and subject-wise was 3.42 percent (4 marks). This average cut-off is taken out of 360 marks and subject wise cut-off is taken out of 120 marks.
