JEE Advanced is a highly competitive exam and the candidates are always keen to know the cutoff details. This exam will be conducted on 26th May 2024 and the results will be out on 9th June 2024. So, students have to wait till then.

The JEE cutoff is essentially the minimum score that a candidate requires to pass the exam stage and advance. Candidates who score equal to or above the cut–off will be able to participate in the further JEE Advanced 2024 counselling process. It is a significant aspect of the JEE Advanced 2024 exam as based on the cutoff and the rank list, candidates can get admission to top IIT institutes in the country.

Two types of cutoffs are released by the conducting authority i.e., admission cutoff and qualifying cutoff. The cutoff depends on several factors and may vary every year.

Factors Determining Cut-off for JEE Advanced

As mentioned previously the JEE Advanced Cut-off may vary every year and this depends on several factors:

  1. Total number of students that appeared for the exam.
  2. Total seats available for eligible candidates in participating IITs.
  3. Difficulty level of that year’s question paper.
  4. Trend based on a Cut-off of the previous year
  5. Performance of the students in the exam.
